Sleet pelts the windshield on the way to the doctor’s office. You’ve known it for how long…? Ten years now? Eleven? You knew she held on to a disturbing and abnormal fondness for Dwight Yoakam both man and music. Hell, it was practically the only vestige of country left about her, given her history. But as she breaks forth you’d never ever ever ever suspected she could...

Where do I start? In the beginning. Monday morning, my alarm goes off and I see that I have a text from my friend, Justin. I talk to him and complain that my throat is hurting and I feel like I’m getting a cold. I wonder why I’m not coughing, don’t have mucus or the typical other cold-like…
If you are a woman or you have a female partner READ THIS. This is exactly what you can...

11:30 on a Saturday night and all I want to do is sit with the lights off and look at the plum colored scene outside through the blinds and listen to slow baroque music. The new snow makes passing cars sound muffled and the tires moan and crunch. I imagine what it would be like if the snow piled up around the house to fully cover it like a voluminous quilt. Sleep would be so easy.
I’m...

If you could go anywhere in the world right now, where would you go and why?
-I always put the U.K. on the top of my list because of family history and museums but for some reason today I’d like to say a tropical resort where I could snorkel. Cuba perhaps. :)

Inspiration fails me....
It’s probably time for another one of those days when people can request drawings or ask me overly personal questions. The weirder the better.

sarabande:
our eyes are open now, emptiness creeps into the space between our bones. you tell me there is something beautiful in drowning, but the silence is too much to bear (it weighs so heavily on my heart). you hold me close as we fall, your ribs digging into my skin, and whisper “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” again and again until my heartbeat grows fainter and we are swallowed softly by the sea.

When am I moving in, again?
I’ll need first and last month’s rent and references stating that you don’t do the khoomei singing after midnight and a security deposit against cigar burns on the furniture.

No No No No No No No No No NOOOO.
If you are going to use Bach’s lute suite #3 in A minor IN A PORN why the HELL did you pick the sarabande? Fools. The first gavotte was clearly the superior choice.
No. I’m not kidding.
Personal observations.
- I’m always on the lookout for opportunities to blurt, “Is that what they’ve been teaching you up there in your fancy school?”
-Sunshiny winter afternoons are often the saddest.
-Don’t go back to re-read Sherlock Holmes stories and mentally superimpose the voices of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman on Conan Doyle’s text. I’m very sorry. It simply...

Watching a documentary on serial killers last night, C. pointed out that if you grouped all our facebook friends together, statistically one or two would be bona-fide psychopaths. We spent time trying to figure out who they are.

It has been reiterated that my marriage would face insurmountable problems if Liam Neeson moved in next door.
I live every day with this knowledge, looking over my shoulder when I hear a soft Irish accent.

Put the sun inside a pint of stout. It’s the same color…Sooo beautiful
-Best description *ever*. It smells like music. Put your nose to the soundhole and you can smell songs inside and if you listen closely you hear crickets at 78rpm and the clank of empty whiskey bottles.

Dear person in the parking lot who was randomly singing Blame it on the Rain out loud. Thank you so much for introducing Milli Vanilli into my skull.
